Shahn originally comes from a manufacturing automation background in the Life Sciences industry, where he worked on both hardware and software development. He has experience working on NPI (New Product Introduction) projects, industrial robots, machine vision systems and in the design & automation of test systems.

He gradually transitioned to doing more software and web development, and is currently working on a project in the healthcare industry.

Outside of work, Shahn enjoys building split-keyboards, reading, cooking, and exercising. Having lived in China and Japan, he also speaks fluent Mandarin, and is currently learning Japanese.
